Layer Timeline Control
WFA FireRisk Web is a time enabled application. This means that the Asset Risk and Territory (Territory Risk, Weather & Fuels Moisture) forecasts are all time enabled. These forecasts are produced daily with a 100 hour horizon. Risk metrics are calculated every 1-3 hours for the entire forecast period.
The Timeline control is used to select, view and cycle through these forecasts and view the different risk metrics at each time interval and is located at the bottom of the map canvas and is always visible.
The current selected risk metric that is being displayed on the map is displayed in the drop-downs on the right side of the timeline control.
A few things to note:
All of the risk metrics viewed in WFA FireRisk are related to the time you have selected in the timeline control. The risk metrics being displayed in the asset list, asset details and on the map are for the selected time. As you select different intervals in the forecast, these metrics will update.
Risk forecasts are current, meaning they are for today and the next 2 days. Currently there is no historical viewing in this version.
The current selected time is displayed in multiple locations around the application but is also prominently displayed in the timeline control in teal/green.
